University of Wisconsin - Madison
Madison, Wisconsin
In this session, Dr. Chantelle Thomas will review what clinical research has taught us about the potential impact of Ketamine on the symptoms of individuals suffering across various mental health conditions, including substance use disorders, PTSD, and treatment-resistant depression. Many people may not be aware of the wide range of Ketamine's subjective effects and varied experiences occasioned from different dosage, route of administration, and contextual factors. In this regard, Dr. Thomas will further explore the range of treatment protocols and clinical considerations that inform the use of Ketamine infusions, nasal Ketamine (Spravato), intramuscular versus lozenge-based treatment protocols, and the potential impact of including psychotherapy adjacent to or alongside Ketamine treatment.
