Dr. Chantelle Thomas is a Clinical Psychologist specializing in addiction treatment, trauma, and health psychology. Dr. Thomas is among the leaders in the area of the use of psychedelics and emerging therapies to treat adults with PTSD, substance use disorders, and depression.
She is certified in both MDMA Assisted Psychotherapy (2017) and Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (2019). In 2013, she was trained to conduct clinical research with Psilocybin by key members of the Center for Psychedelic Research and Consciousness at Johns Hopkins University (2013). She is currently a supervisor for the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) Phase 3 multi-site trials of MDMA-assisted psychotherapy for severe PTSD taking place in the U.S. and six European countries (the United Kingdom, The Netherlands, Czech Republic, Germany, Norway, and Portugal).
Dr. Thomas places an active and ongoing role in teaching, training, and content development with the MDMA-assisted therapy training program for MAPS. She is a lead trainer, facilitator, and supervisor for several active clinical research trials involving Psilocybin at the University of Wisconsin - Madison.
